Professional, listing, and advertising disclaimers

Florida Plumbing Directory is a directory and lead-referral platform. We are not a plumbing company or a guarantor of work quality. Below are the full disclaimers that apply to your use of this site -- read them once so you know exactly where we sit between you and the contractors in our directory.

If you smell gas or have a life-safety emergency, call 911. Leave the building and call your gas utility. For flooding or a burst pipe, shut off your water main. We are not an emergency service.

We do not perform plumbing work. We connect you with licensed plumbers who do. Your contract is with that professional, not with us.

Section 1

Emergencies and safety

For a gas leak, call 911 and your gas utility first. For flooding or a sewage backup, shut off your water and treat it as urgent.

Information on Florida Plumbing Directory -- including service pages, city pages, FAQs, blog content, AI-generated summaries, and any chat interactions -- is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is NOT professional plumbing advice and does NOT create a contractor-client relationship.

If you smell gas, suspect a gas leak, or a carbon-monoxide alarm sounds, leave the building immediately and call 911 and your gas utility from a safe location before contacting a plumber. Do not flip switches or light flames.

For active flooding, a burst pipe, or a sewage backup, shut off your main water valve and treat it as urgent. We are not equipped to handle emergencies and our lead-routing system is not designed for time-critical situations -- call a 24/7 emergency plumber, or 911 for any life-safety hazard.

Section 2

No professional plumbing advice

We don't perform plumbing work. We connect you with the licensed local pros who do.

Florida Plumbing Directory is a directory and lead-referral platform. We do NOT perform plumbing, drain cleaning, water-heater work, sewer or pipe repair, sump-pump work, gas-line work, or any other plumbing service. We do not employ plumbers or technicians.

Content on this site, including service descriptions, credential explainers, what-to-expect guides, and FAQ entries, is general information based on publicly available industry standards and the Florida Plumbing Code. It is NOT a substitute for advice from a licensed plumber who has personally evaluated your property.

Always verify a plumber's credentials, state license number, insurance coverage, and references before hiring. The fact that a business appears in our directory -- even with a verified badge -- does not waive your responsibility to confirm their qualifications for your specific situation.

Section 3

Listings and verification disclaimer

Listings come from public registries and owner submissions. A verified badge means we reviewed paperwork -- not that we endorse the business.

Business listings on this site come from three sources, identified on each listing: (1) owner submissions through /business/onboarding; (2) manual additions by our admin team; or (3) automated imports from publicly available, properly licensed registries (the Florida DBPR/CILB plumbing licenses, county competency boards, PHCC of Florida, and the Florida Division of Corporations).

We label listings based on the documentation we have on file: a verified badge means a member of our team has reviewed credential documentation (license, insurance, certifications) and confirmed it matches the business. The verified badge is NOT an endorsement of the business or its work quality, NOT a guarantee that the business is currently licensed or insured at the moment you contact them, and NOT a substitute for your own due diligence.

Information on listings (phone numbers, addresses, service areas, certifications) reflects what the business or registry source provided to us at the time of import or update. Information may become stale. If you discover an inaccuracy, please email us at contact@floridaplumbingdirectory.com -- we correct verified inaccuracies within one business day.

We are NOT responsible for the conduct, work quality, pricing, billing practices, or outcomes of any business listed in our directory. Your relationship is directly with the contractor you choose to hire.

Section 4

No guarantee of contact, availability, or matching

Submitting a request doesn't guarantee anyone will call you back. We forward your request -- contractors decide whether to respond.

Submitting a service request through this site forwards your request to up to 20 qualified plumbers within a 50-mile radius of the location you provided, prioritised by listing tier (Preferred Vendors first, then claimed listings, then unclaimed listings).

We do NOT guarantee that any of those professionals will contact you, respond within any specific timeframe, be available to perform the work, accept your job, or provide any specific quote or service. Availability depends entirely on local professionals' schedules and business decisions, which we have no control over.

If you have not heard back from any of the matched pros within 24 to 48 hours, we recommend contacting individual listings directly using the phone numbers shown on their public profile pages, or submitting a new request with broader location criteria.

Section 5

Advertising, paid placement, and affiliate relationships

Preferred Vendor listings pay $30/mo for top placement. Featured listings are admin-pinned. Both are clearly labelled.

Florida Plumbing Directory is operated as a for-profit directory. Some listings receive promotional treatment in exchange for a paid subscription:

Preferred Vendor: a $30/month subscription that gives a listing a silver-bordered card, a top-of-page ribbon, top placement in directory and city pages, first-priority lead routing, photo gallery, social links, and a long-form profile description. These listings are clearly labelled with a 'Preferred Vendor' chip.

Featured: an admin-curated promotion (typically reserved for industry leaders we've manually verified). Featured listings are clearly labelled with a gold 'Featured' badge. We do not accept payment for the Featured label.

We may earn referral fees from contractors for leads, subscriptions, or other commercial relationships. These fees do NOT affect the information shown on directory pages, city pages, or service pages, do NOT affect the certification chips or verification badge displayed, and do NOT affect the order of unpaid listings within their tier.

Section 6

Third-party content and links

We link to credential registries and external resources for transparency. We don't control them and we don't vouch for what's on them.

Our directory references and links to external resources -- the Florida DBPR, county competency boards, PHCC of Florida, the Florida Building Code, news articles, and government resources -- to support transparency and to let visitors verify our claims for themselves.

We do not own, control, or endorse any third-party site we link to. Third-party content can change, disappear, or be replaced without notice. If you believe one of our outbound links is broken or now points to inappropriate content, please email us at contact@floridaplumbingdirectory.com and we'll review it within one business day.

Where AI-generated content appears on this site (city-page summaries, service-explainer paragraphs, FAQ answers), it is generated from public sources and reviewed by our team but may contain inaccuracies. Treat AI-generated content the same way you would a Wikipedia paragraph: useful background, not a substitute for primary sources or licensed professional advice.

Section 7

Limitation of liability

We provide the directory 'as is'. To the extent allowed by law, we're not liable for the actions or work of contractors you find here.

Florida Plumbing Directory, its operators, employees, contractors, and affiliates are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from (1) your use of the directory; (2) your reliance on information published on the site; (3) any interaction, contract, transaction, or work performed (or not performed) between you and a contractor you found through the site; (4) any error, omission, or inaccuracy in a listing, service description, or AI-generated summary; or (5) the unavailability, unresponsiveness, or business practices of any contractor in the directory.
